My new Martin Crown C came and boy does it need to be broken in! What's the best way to do that quickly? Oil it a ton? But with what? I've heard not to use Neatsfoot oil. Any info appreciated :)

It should be ready to just go on a horse....all it will take is some hours of riding.

truth

I bought mine back in may- it still squeaks but I felt it "broke in" after a ride or two. The twist stirrups are awesome. No more fighting with fenders or using a broom handle! lol

Just ride in it!! They break in super fast. Mine squeeks a bit, but its nothing terrible. It will feel like you've ridden in it for years after about a week or two.

I have had mine for almost 3 years now and I never had to go through a break in period... but I did ride the crap out of it when I first got.
