How long has it taken some of you to get your horses weight back after a severe colic? Nearly lost my gelding in December and he still has not gained a lot of his weight back :(

I would feed a high quality Sr Feed and add probiotics and a good ulcer product. Have you had him scoped?

This. 28 days of Ulcergard, 10 days of ProBios full dose to start. Then 1 lb rice bran, 1 lb Ultium, Forco, Smartpak SmartGut Ultra, Enshure, and 1/2 cup Cool Calories twice daily brought mine back from the dead after he spent 14 days at the equine hospital after a mystery digestive breakdown.

Edited to add free choice high quality alfalfa as main forage.
