I have high school rodeo starting up in a month..I am having to sell my current barrel horse because we arnt clicking and she just isnt my style. So i really should be looking to buy a finished horse i can rodeo on when HS rodeo starts back up, but i cant find what im looking for in my price range.
But..... I did find a horse with Sun Frost, Frenchmans Guy, Frenchmans Fabulous bloodlines... So clearly has the running blood in him! If i purchase this horse it would mean possibly sitting out of Hs rodeo until i get this horse where i need him. Is it worth it or should i keep looking? I only have a month to find a new horse!

Depends on how well you and the prospective horse click, what his training is (or isn't), and whether he has the ability and aptitude for what you want to do.   Have you ridden or worked with the horse yet?

Another option is to use some of the budget you have for buying the new horse to get some good lessons or attend a clinic to see if you can work the quirks out.

I don't know how the market is where you are at, but also take into consideration the time to sell the horse you don't click with.
