Location: North Dakota | Bought a nice hardly used saddle, got it yesterday and the stirrup leathers are attached under the pommel with bolts! I get why you would do it but WHY?? Absolutely can not put your feet back at all, plus I don't think it's very sturdy, so if you know anything about this, how to fix, what the set up is called please let me know! One saddle repair place won't touch it!! |

Thats how a Josey foreward hung is set up to help have that forward swing to them. But didnt know they did the Sharon C like this too, maybe its a special ordered saddle. |

Location: home for the winter...what a dumb idea | There is another strap under neath the fender that has a flat metal hook that you use to ajust them back.... loosen it for a more backwards swing by pushing it up twoards the tree. I believe..... if you pull it down you get a more forward postion... you will love the saddle once you get it set to you. I loved mine seat was just to big for me |

Location: Where Governor's make the liscense plates | I hate... I repeat HATE forward hung stirrups, I'm not sure if its because I don't ride a fast enough horse to need them or what but I cannot handle them, I have a brand spankin new Martha josey saddle with them and theres no adjusting them, I even called circle y and asked. If you figure out a way to undo the torture let me know ;) |

That's exactly the same way I felt about a brand spankin' new Bob Marshall I ordered with the forward hung stirrups a few years ago...I couldn't get rid of that thing fast enough! I absolutely could not jog in it...stirrups would fly forward any time I put pressure on them...useless...never had that problem with any other saddle. Hated the forward hung stirrups on the BM!! |

Location: between here and there | I bet someone added that "feature". One reason Sharon has such wide fenders is to keep them underneath you so you cannot get your legs in front of you. Send that to Courts and I'll bet they will tell you the same. That is quite possibly a dangerous situation with someone redoing the manufactured saddle. Having your legs camped out in front of you is a bad, bad situation. Puts you in a vulnerable position to be exited with a stumble. No way jose would I ever want one - especially one altered by some nit wit.... There, I said it. |

Thanks my thoughts exactly! I took the fenders all apart and out and put another set in and won money in the 4 d today....hated them rigged forward. There is no way I could get my read end out of the saddle and up with them set up like that! I have never seen a Camarillo like this before either and to me it made no sense, thanks for confirming my thoughts! I thought it looked like shoddy workmanship too... Very unsafe |
