I was curious what professional horse photographers charge.  I look at stallion ad's and the ones that have some nice pictures sure look a lot classier than those "homemade" one's.  Anybody know an approximate price?  I want to forward the information to the stallion owners with crappy pics.

depends on the photographer...

I had a photographer come out and take family pictures with the horses. She charged me $50 for 1 hour and gave me the CD with over 70 pictures on it. She is a professional Journalist who takes pictures as a side business so she might be less expensive than others.

I had been speaking with Larry Larson when we bought our Stoli stud and we were just going off when he had a day available. He wouldn't give me a set price. I honestly expected to pay around $500 or so (maybe it would have been a lot more than that) but I was also 2 1/2 hrs from him and was going to meet about 1/2 way for a pretty background picture. After I lost the stud I never inquired about anything else.
