Omg I am getting nervous!!! This Friday is my first rodeo on my mare. We have had a rocky relationship and due to family problems I haven't had a chance to haul her to play days or any thing like that so We are kinda just winging it..... I don't plan on running guns a blazin but I'm going to try my best not to second guess everything and let her work:) do y'all have any advice for me to calm my nerves? And any thing else I need to know? I'm going to haul her to our local arena In the morning to just do some slow work and stuff like that.... Any advice is helpful!!

Thank y'all for all the kind words:) unfortuanly it did not go as planned. My mare and I did not get to run because she was just to nervous and freaking out, I think that if they had the ally way lit up better and she could see all the bulls they had In the pens she would of been a tad bit better. She got super spooked a few times and jumped side ways and even reared and spun on her back feet resulting in her hurting her back, we think a few ribs are out.. So she is going to be resting today and if i could find my dang life wave patches I'm going to use them on her! Thank y'all again for all the encouragement and we will try again real soon:)

Thats too bad... I ran my horse in a dark alley type setting and the gate guy started waving his clipboard at him because he was crawling ... like slowly slowly creeking up the alley. Clipboard scared him and he took off like a rocket and had NO CLUE what we were doing lol so it happens.

I think you may have misunderstood Love2ridepre... The margaritas were for the mare.... I hope the next time out goes better..
