So I have been out of the horse world for about 2 1/2 years now after having my son and constantly moving due to the military. So I found this mare that was absoutly beatiful in her pics online and when I went to there to see her she was skin and bones......so of course I can't say no. We are going to pick her up next week so I have been getting all my old stuff together. Even though I haven't been out of the loop for that long it seems like a lot of feed choices have changed. I always feed Stragety and for a while I fed I think it was Safe Choice, I can remember it was a Nutrena feed but I can't exactly remeber what lol Oh the things you can forget in 2 years lol Anyways so I'm just looking for some good opnions on feeds, supplements, ect.

I recently went to ADM PrimeGLO  from Safechoice Perform and have been really happy with it. Great feed that has top ingredients and you feed such a small amount. So even though the bag costs quite a bit more, it costs much less to feed.

For supplements I use FORCO (from Nevertooold on here) and THE Equine Edge. Most of mine are on Muscle Mass which is a great weight builder and can be formulated for your horse's specific needs. If you are interested, send me a pm and I can explain more.

I checked out their website and I think its' something I might try. Looking at the bag I know I have seen it before, I think a few of the girls I rodeoed with used it. Thanks for the input!!

When I went look at her the guy told me that they were putting her back on her supplement which was called "Cool Horse." I've never heard of that, anyone else know anything about it?

We recently switched our horses to Nutrena Empower Balance and the difference it has made is AMAZING! They have a great shine and built muscle quickly in the spring. For the first time ever my gelding came out of the winter looking fit, instead of fat and flabby. And my four year old appendix filly looks fantastic! I highly recommend it!

I'm a big fan of Tribute feeds. I use essential k and Kalm ultra. My horse looks great and it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg.
