I am starting my gelding on THE performance joint/arthritis, senior. I didn't think to ask this when I ordered so I'm hoping Bob or a dealer is on tonight. I currently feed alfalfa pellets and an ounce of moormans grostrong loose minerals once a day. Just minimal feed. Am I okay to give the ounce of moormans with the THE? I am thinking it won't be an issue since I want to say the moormans I can give 3-4 ounces and I'm only giving the minimum of 1. Thoughts?

they will just pee out whatever they don't need. THE doesn't add selenium to their products and that's the only "toxicity scare" so you are good. IMO though I would give 1 morning and 1 night. If I feed anything other than THE to my horses I give it in the morning and THE at night. I feel like I want their gut to absorb each and everything I give them as much as possible. Probably a mental thing with me but makes me feel better LOL.
Also I give Liquid 747 (vit, min, amino acid) to my horses everyday along with my THE so I'm sure I'm overloading them on the good stuff but I would rather them pee it out than not have enough. I am a nut though lol

Isn't the GroStrong a ADM feed? I started to feed the SeniorGLO and PrimeGLO and use THE with it. I would probably split it into 2 feedings if you can/want to. Mine all have free choice 12:12 mineral and salt.

the Grostrong is the minerals ADM makes. its loose minerals basically. Comes in 25# bag. You feed it by 1oz scoops. Some of the feeds ADM makes like MoorGlo that aren't a "complete" feed are recommended to be fed with the GroStrong minerals
