Location: Sunny California | Has it made anyone's horses hot. My gelding is really laid back. I decided to switch from his Smart Pak supplements to Platinum. He's been on it a week (only 1 scoop/day) and he was higher than a kite (for him) when I rode today. I'm thinking it's the Platinum. I'll probably feed it another week and see how he is, but I may have to go back to the Smart Pak. |

| Yep. Made my husbands head horse buck.... while he was roping on him. Not good! Never did that before and that was the only thing I added to his grain. He is an extremely laid back horse but got super hot and ancy on it. Strange deal. |

| I have fed Platinum and now CJ for years. I have never had it make one "hot". Yes they do feel better and look better on it but not what "I" would call hot. |

I feed him a 1 cup measuring cup of Purina Strategy Healthy Edge just to mix it with the supplement, but he was getting this when he was on the Smart Paks too. He also gets alfalfa and grass hay which I have been feeding the same for the last 8 months since I've owned him. |

Location: SoCal | I haven't heard of it making a horse hot, but each horse is different. I am working at a place that sells it and with the employee discount was considering buying some to try it on our old mare who has joint issues and allergies and then my young performance mare. I'll be paying attention to future responses on this thread, since I don't want to buy it and have my laid back horses go hot... |

| How often have you rode him since you have been on it? Is he "hot" warming up or at the alley? Not controllable during run? It makes them feel good. Some may need rode or exercised more at first till they figure out that its going to be a consistent good feeling to them. Mine is on a schedule. If I leave out on Thurs. then She is jogged 2 miles Mon-Wed morning and rode on Wed. night. If I leave on Fri schedule is same except she is jogged each day and I will either ride her on wed. or thurs. depending on how many others I have to ride. She is the easiest one I have Thank God! I have used many other products and started using the Platinum CJ on HER in Jan. For those that are on my FB knows what all this mare has done since Jan. Platinum has always been a product that when others fail or they get" too use" to it will push them on to the next plateau. |

Location: Riding Crackhead. | Every horse is different and will be affected differently. I've used PP products for years and love them. I think if a horse feels good and is healthy they will have more energy. |

| Maybe give him a couple of weeks to settle down. I know with me personally, when I do a detox or right after a sinus surgery, I would get a big energy surge just from feeling better. After a week or two I would still have energy, but not as much. He may just need to get used to feeling fully healthy. |

Location: Oklahoma | Yes Platinum will make one hot. I have fed it for years, and can only feed it to certain horses. It will make my laid back horse act like a race horse, and the race horses are highere than a kite.
It is a really good supplement, but you have to know how it affects your horse. You may go to feeding it every other day..
I switched to THE products and don't have that issue anymore. |

| I've been feeding it to a variety of ages and cow/race bred horses. I have not seen it blow one up hot. Yes, they get more energy because they feel better - but not "hot" or uncontrollable.
just my experience. Maybe call Platinum and talk to them about it?? They have EXCELLENT customer service. |

Location: lexington KY | I have fed PP for years. I have never had it make one "hot" as in nuts, but it has definitely brought a lazy horse to life. I actually like to know the product I am using is working. My horses have energy and feel great and look great. I like knowing they feel better after going on the supplement. |

My horses have totally different personality types - from extremely laid back to extremely hot and Platinum Performance has not altered any of their personalities. I've been feeding it for about 7 months.

Location: California | I fed my hot blooded race bred horse it for 60 days. It did not make him "hot" but he did feel much better and had a lot more muscle to work with. He seemed happy and excited to feel so good. Still listened just as good as ever and payed attention but had a little more spring to his step. I was happy he seemed to feel so good! |

| We put a 4 year old on it because the horse I got it for refused to eat it. She had all the potential to get hot if she was going to based on her personality and frequency of being ridden. The only changes we saw were an improvement in her physical condition. She rode just like she had prior to starting it. When we ran out we did not reorder. Her disposition remained the same. |

I'm going to try it for another week or so and see how he is, but if he stays so on the muscle I'll give it to my mare and see how she does. |

| We have fed it for years and I agree i would say makes them feel good. I have never had one act hot on it and have fed it to a lot of diffent horses. I'm a huge believer in it. But like others said every horse is different. |

Location: Where the blacktop ends | I have used the Platinum Performance CJ on 4 of my horses. One of them it made him extremely hot. He was already a little hot, but it bumped it up to a new level. My vet was he one that recommended that I put him on it, mainly for the CJ part of it. He also told me that some horses it does make them hot. I switched to 1 scoop every other day and that brought him down some.
