Location: North Dakota | If you all could be so kind as to say a prayer for my sister and her Cockatiel, Kooper. We are visiting Hill City, SD and he flew out our cabin today. We've been out searching for hours, and are heading back out in the morning, but we have to leave tomorrow. These birds are our children and he will surely die in the wild. I know it's a long shot, but if ANYONE is in/near Hill City, do them a favor and look up. Kooper is a light gray and yellow spotted Cockatiel. His head is yellow w/ bright orange cheeks and a long pointed tail. He has 1 pink toenail on his left foot. He responds to his name "Kooper" or the wolf whistle (usually) and loves cheese. If you shake a package of shredded cheese he'll probably come. He's very tame and friendly, a little shy around strangers though. If you have any info, msg me on here or my phone is 406-580-9141. Location: SD | I shared your plea via Facebook with a friend who lives just outside Hill City. Her horses were spooked by a mountain lion and were missing for nearly a week before they were found, but they were found. I hope Kooper is found, too. |

| Do you have another bird you can take outside to call to Cooper?
I owned many birds and when one got out we would take a cage with it's mate outside and it would fly back and land on the cage. I actually trained a bird (by accident) by using a method similiar to this.
Good places to look are nearby parking lots (on light poles) They seem to attract to the people in groups. Anyplace where there is water, zoos... Good luck I hope you find him. |
