Psalm 59:1 Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; defend me from those who rise up against me.
We can find assurance in Psalm 59:1-7 that no matter what the circumstances, we have a God to whom we can turn.
A great reminder of the providence of God, who knows all the thoughts, plans, and intentions of the heart and overrules them for His glory and our good. Saul knew David was innocent and delivered him from Saul.
Note from Samuel 19 that David didn't just sit there in his house. He put His life in God's hands, yes, but did what he needed to do to escape. James reminds us that faith without works is dead 2:17 We are to be doers of the Word, and David acted on what he knew and could do.
David was on watch, and God delivered him. If you're going to live , walk and witness for the Lord, you too will have your enemies. Be on the alert and trust God to take care of you.
