I stepped on a pregnant scorpion the other day and then had scorpion embryos stuck on my sneakers. Yuck! Yuck! Yuck! |

| We have some monster spiders up here that look similar to that. They don't carry their young on their back though...that seems odd to me. Most spiders I've dealt with don't do anything with their young. |

| We have tons around our neck of the woods. Take a flash light out at night and shine it about grass level and you'll see all there eyes. Looks like glitter in the grass but its just lots of wolf spiders! |

The enormously large bugs are one reason I will never live in the south. Lived in Arizona for 3 months and the large cockroaches were enough for me.
Good ol' North Dakota winters kill off most of that stuff up here. Thank goodness. I haaaaaate spiders. |

Location: Texas | I like the wolf spiders as long as they stay in my barn or outside. But if they sneak in my house, you will hear me yelling "DIE, DIE" followed by shhhhhhhhh............ Which is the can of Raid going off. And I use the wasp spray so I don't have to get as close to them. It shoots farther and more accurately than spider spray. |

Location: Texas | I used to be terrified of spiders. Still am, but I can at least look at them now in the barn without flipping out. My sister is huge into spiders right now! Knows all the species in the barn, knows which ones are males and females, knows how to tell a male southern house spider from a brown recluse. LOL.
She always points them out to me now! So gross. Last winter she and I cut open a banana spider's egg sack to see what was inside. BAD IDEA. |

Location: Red Raiderland | They are fascinating and gross at the same time. I have spent my life around wolf spiders so they aren't too bad but when I see one the size of one of my Dachshunds it creeps me out a bit. I was brave enough to put that dime down next to it and it didn't move but when I went to pick the dime up she took off. I screamed like a 5 year old. Yuck! |
