Hello - we have been making some changes in my gelding and i love how he is running now that we switched to the left barrel first. I, however, am struggling a bit to make the adjustment. This is the first horse i have ever taken left first. Any advice? I assume it takes time but i wanted to know if there are some good tips out there to let me adjust faster.

Wanda Bush, obviously many years ago (LOL) had me switch my gelding one day and enter him the next. For me there was never a hitch. He ran like he had been running that way always. I just needed to be a little more diligent in making sure if he needed a little help to keep him on the right side of the barrel for a few runs. I really didn't need to do this much though. Good luck. Let us know how you are doing.

I too switched my horse from right to left. It was a conscious effort on my part to do a correct
pattern. However, I have turned the 3rd barrel on the wrong side!!! It happened, no big deal, the more
I "run" my horses the more comfortable I have become in the pattern. I run 2 horses & they will both run
to the left, because there is no way I can run one, one way n the other the other way!!!!! LOL
