My 8 year old mare came down with an acute case of laminitis. It was fast to onset and it her was first time ever having it (hopefuly the only time)... The cause is unknown. No matter what we look back on we cant figure out what triggered it.
Anywyas.. I finally get to pick her up from the vet tomorrow. I bought a bag of total health enhancement's nitroxide to feed to her... My question is do you just feed the nitroxide alone for a few months OR do you feed nutrawound and nitroxide together for a few months??? Thanks!

With something that serious, I would also call Bob and give him the details. I know he recommended NitrOxide and NutraWound for my gelding with a stretched ligament. Laminitis is so serious and I have never heard of it being a one time thing. Anything can set it off, even stress. We lost a nice stud to it last year.

I meant that with managment its a one time thing...... with management all you can hope for is to reduce the risks of it happening again.

Bob - 2014-08-22 10:48 AM Your horse needs lot's of blood flow to the foot. Dose 2 scoops once a day for 5 days then once a day after that always in the morning
Start dosing the NutraWOUND after the 5 day doses of Nitroxide, one dose of NutraWOUND at night time. After 10 day's call me and see were at.
