Now that pre entries are closed, who will be there? Me and my friend are driving down Friday and running hopefully all four times! 8 for her since she's up in poles too... I've quickly established I cannot pole bend on my horse, I'm sure he could do it but I'll stick to barrels for now. Anyways who's going?

I'm taking all 4 of mine, one pole horse and 3 barrel horses.  I have gone every year for the last several years with a great group of friends.  Always a well run and fun race. Wish you were going STPonygirl!

Any one going from San Antonio that might have room to haul a kids horse for me. He is a sweet gentle old guy.

You will have a blast, this is most well ran barrel race that I have gone too. Just make sure you dont miss your run number, be in the back in the holding pen in plenty of time for your run.. This is such a cool place to run barrels.. I cant wait to hear how every body does, I will be thinking of you guys..

We are going!!! Bringing one barrel horse for me and one for my sister. I am hoping Bunny sees the first barrel….standard pattern should be interesting for her!

I'm going! This has always been a great race, and this year is their 25th anniversary,
so it's special, lol. I'm betting on 800+ runners per day this year! I love their format and the shootout rounds are always fun to watch - this race is a great guage if you want to know where your borse runs, because it is a standard pattern and it is tough, tough, tough. You'll probably have to be a 17.2 just to get in the bottom of the 1d, lol. Safe travels to all who are heading that way next weekend!

I can't wait and now I am SUPER excited to hear it is a standard pattern. I love big patterns!!! Running three only on the barrels (I am not a pole rider). I'm also going back and forth so I will run around like a crazy person to get three ridden and then I am headed home.

ANHA already has over 130 Pole Benders for this years show!  The 9am to Noon numbers are full so any late entries will be running at 8am.  We will try to accomodate everyone that we can, but we really must start the barrels at Noon to keep our schedule on time.  This is going to be a great year!

My daughter is running one and I'm running my 5yo (aka Crackhead) and my 24yo (aka Fat Lady Lindy).  We run both events so we are going to be busy.  It's a fun race and I love going even though I wish the finals were a clean slate, especially for the poles.

Anybody want to try to have a meet & greet?

Snazzy it is a kids horse that new owners would be picking up. I am working on details right now. He is just a good old man.

Competing just against your D in the finals is what I like about it, something different than the usual format.   It is not so much up to chance and getting lucky and landing right to win a check but actually making a good run against your competition.  Poles looks to be huge this year.  I am bringing my pole horse out of retirement, hoping to make a mid 20's run.  With the splits the way they are looks like the mid  21s will fall in a whole.  My girls can run low 20's easy, me, not so much.  I have only run him a handful of times.  Luckliy, he is as automatic as you can get so we shall see.
