Location: Montana | I'm so proud of my little mare, Pebbles. She is such a sweetheart, and such a pleaser. I know we aren't 1D or anything like that, but we have made some great strides this year I wanted to share. She is becoming automatic and is loving barrel racing! I'm so glad I spent that money this spring to send her to the trainer. :)
Here is a video from last night of a barrel race we went to. It was indoors, and since we were the first runner, we got to be the fastest time for about 30 seconds, LOL. But we did our personal fastest indoor time of 17.87 seconds (winning time was a 15.3-something). My mom almost forgot to video my run, that is why there is only part of the first barrel, LOL.? http://youtu.be/R9LvGEI7Tn8?list=UUqNXc-SsVOnZQCvfFFjQMsw Then three weeks ago (8-5-14) we got our fastest time to date on a standard outdoor pattern of 20.86 seconds, (winning time 18.08). Even with a losing a stirrup on second we made it work. :) http://youtu.be/37a5AC7HLxk?list=UUqNXc-SsVOnZQCvfFFjQMsw
Thanks for letting me share! |

Location: west of East Texas | I started a new horse this year too. I laughed at your 'leading' time comment. I was first up at a race a couple of weeks ago and seriously, I got a little thrill before it started that I'd be 'leading the barrel race' for about thirty seconds. I was even jokingly wondering if they would say "and we have a new leader" or "that will move her into 1st place". ha ha ha |

Well, it was the first time ever I was ever a "fastest" or "leading" time, LOL. Thanks. :) |
