Location: Flat Rock,IL | Since they told her she was cancer free , then she was having trouble with blood pressure,because of the swelling in her legs and feet, so was not getting any rest from being on diuretics. She then got a blood infection and treating her with this nasty antibiotics, that the side of affects was so painful for her, she could not stand to be touched. She has been bedridden for a week now. Tuesday they had to take her port out and put in another port, they are thinking that's what caused her infection, we thought we was going to lose her, she was just going down hill. Since they taken the other pot out, she is doing a lot better now, hopefully her white count we start going up and she can go home maybe in two weeks. I still have been up here with her the whole time, if she still is feeling better maybe going home for a couple of days and be back up here again and maybe take her home. |

Location: Flat Rock,IL | They just took her temp and it's coming back up, but doctor did say her counts are low and she still can run a fever. They are pulling more blood cultures again on her. He said we need for her white count to go up, but she still in the window for them to come back up. |

Thanks. The same day that my mom was going through this ruff mess, my son went to the ER, he had to have his appendix taken out,thought everything was alright with him and in the night h had doctors and nurses in is room, he had fluid in his lungs,so they ran some tests on him,no blood clots and the next morning he was better.hope today he will get to go home. |

I believe she had both acute and chronic. It was something weird. We were so stressed out, I can't even tell you now. I was going back and forth from VA to NJ. She also had the Philadelphia chromosone. Another unusual thing. PM me on FB if you want to talk. I don't come on here very much.

No on the bone marrow transplant, she to old to get one . My mom will be 77 next month. Last week was the worse , for her, she got a blood infection and gotten really sick, but this week, her white count is now coming up and maybe going home next week. My mom has Acute myeloid Leukemia , she had a 60 percent blast count, now the last bone marrow test done, she had no cancer, but after that , she gotten really sick. I've not been home much, been up here with her, in Indy.....I did not say to much on Facebook about it...thanks for asking about her. |
