Just went and traded my horse off. Drove 13 hours to meet. Lady said the filly was 15 hands... She's no where near it. Maybe 14/14.1. All cow bred so I figured she wasn't going to be a monster. Are there any short horses out there clocking 1d?

the mare I grew up on is 14.1 when her feet are long and she was 1D from the time she was 5yo until about 19yo. I believe in the short horses. Its heart and talent. Not necessarily size.

I guess my biggest concern is I'm no petite girl. I'm 5'7 and not the slimmest. Not fat by any means but I'm no 120lbs
If you think you would be more comfortable on a larger horse, get this little girl going nice then sale her for a profit and get what you really want. I have seen many of smaller horses blow the larger ones out of the arena. It all comes down to heart and talent. Good luck!
