There was statements made on the thread that were certain to cause more pain to the families involved.
I do not want to contribute additional pain or stress to anyone involved in the tragedy.
PM if you need further clarification.
Prayers to the family of Jeanine McMinn. |

Tiffani Wootens mother was killed in a tragic accident when a horse got away and ran into her. Those are the only details I have.

| A horse bolted from the holding pen and ran over Tiffani's mother. It was a terrible and tragic accident. Her mother was not in the warm up area but standing to the side of the warm up area on the concrete separating the two areas.

Location: Bastrop, Texas | Did they stop the barrel race for a while after this tragedy? Was there a moment of silence or a prayer for the family. |

Yes hotbear it was stopped for a while. And yes they did pray as soon as it happened. IMO I think the crew with ANHA handled this was class, respect, and privacy.
At one point they thought they were going to be bring a helicopter in and they were warning everyone that it may come in. They also allowed for additional time for people to re-warm horses up and get prepared again, they didn't just go right back into it.
I don't think they could have handled the situation better. |

Didn't they move her daughter and students to allow them to run?
I saw the video of the tribute run, it made me cry. Once again ANHA has displayed why their event is one of the classiest around. |

Yes they did that too, and another reason why I said what I said. There isn't a way they could have handled this entire situation better. What a great bunch of professional people. They will see me year after year for sure. |
