| I'm thinking outside of the box here, but I was wondering if anyone has tried spraying their horse's boots with Scotchguard to protect them from staining. Did it work? |

| I'm going to try it if I can find two cheap boots that maybe lost their mate. I'm not going to risk testing it on my good boots. lol

| The site says Wal-Mart, menards, target, joann's, home depot, a couple of small hardware stores and I think it listed Lowe's as well. |

Location: In The Land of Cotton | We have sprayed our white ones with it. But, frankly, they just get dirty. The best thing in the world is the EOS soap that you get either at Sams or Walmart. Only my husband uses white on his cutters. The best thing to do is spray them off with the hose while on the horse, or wrap them on a post. Then take them in the house and use the EOS soap on them with a scrub brush. Then soak over night in hot water and the soap. His come out clean. |

Location: Good ole SE Mo | One of the ladies I run barrels with told me the other day that when her daughter use to get new (white) boots, she would spray them with scotch guard before they ever used them. All she would have to do then is brush them off and they would be clean. Of course she told me this as I was putting my new ones on at the barrel race..... with no scotchguard lol I thought about trying it on my next set. |
