| F-15s Dispatched to 'Unresponsive Aircraft' Over Atlantic Two F-15 fighter jets were dispatched over the Atlantic Ocean on Friday to follow a turboprop plane that was not responding to communication. A map provided by FlightAware, a flight tracking service, put the plane between the Bahamas and Cuba. NORAD, the joint American and Canadian air command, said on Twitter that the people on board might be suffering from or oxygen deprivation. NORAD said it was a “light business and utility aircraft” that was flying from Rochester, New York, to Naples, Florida. NORAD said the plane was a Socata model TBM-700. — Erin McClam This is a breaking story. Please check back for updat |

You just got to get mean and mean it.
Location: Arkansas | Ametican jet's have broken off because the small plane has entered Cuban air space. A Cuban jet is now trailing the small air craft.
Plan left New York bound for Florida.Aproximately five hours of fuel. Size of plane is a six passenger. Pilot still not responding. No manifest of how many are on board.
Don't they have to file something with the FAA? We always did when we flew those little puddle jumpers. |

Nothing unless a passenger puts on a headset and takes the controls. |

They have identified the plane as owned by a development company out of Rochester. Prayers for the family as they watch this unfold. I can't imagine the agony. |

Location: Sperry, OK | The cabin probably lost pressure some how and they are flying high enough to be oxygen deprived... all the passengers are probably in the same boat as the pilot, unfortunately! I remember the Payne Stewart incident well! |

His plane went down about 6 miles from my house in a guys pasture. THere's still a heck of a trench in the ground where the plane hit. I remember that day well. We're so rural here but every one was watching the skies and listening to the radio because we knew it was headed in our direction and just prayed it didn't kill anyone when it went down. |
