So a little history..

I got Lucy in April 2011. Two weeks after I got her she got pigeon fever in her flank and it had to be cut out. After that, from May-October 1, 2011 we won over $3000 at local 5D races, open rodeos, ANHA (2D), and we won a PRCA rodeo that filled my permit. The week after she won Hempstead, and bought my rookie card, she strained her suspensory doing something in her stall. 5 months of rest and she came back in 2012 to win another small PRCA rodeo and some local stuff, but she wasn't working RIGHT. July-ish or August 2012 she tested positive for EPM.  It took two treatments, once with Oroquin and once with Marquis... I got back on her Jan 2013 and she still wasn't right. I decided April 2013 to breed her because we weren't getting anywhere. April 26, 2014 she foaled a beautiful palomino filly by First Down French. I started legging her up lightly in the summer and got more rides in once we weaned her baby.

This is the first run she's made since March, 2013. A 14.7 won the barrel race and she was a 15.12. She actually outran my mare Bunny by .02. Bunny had a good run going but blew off the third and almost ran home on the wrong side. Oops. I knew when Lucy left the alley that she felt GOOD.

I know I dont know you, but I wanted to say that I really admire how much hard work and care you put into your horses. You seem to really care about whats best for them, and they obviously work their butts off for you! Great job!

Congrats!!!  Love her second and third barrel turning style!

She is very bendy. Usually she's really snappy around the first but I won't complain at all about her pattern given the circumstances. Dena Kirkpatrick trained her and told me she was one of the few that turned like Martha. I was like, I hope I can ride that LOL

Can you imagine what her baby will turn like given her parents turning styles?! I hope it works <3
