Location: Southeast, Texas | We are looking to buy a trailer, from an individual. It is a used Sooner. Our bank cannot find a estimated trailer value due to the age of the trailer. (2001) Apparently the system they use cuts off at 2006. Is there any way OTHER than having it hauled in and appraised to find a estimated value? |

| There is no KBB for trailers. HorseTrailerWorld.com (BHW's sister site) is a great resource, though. Search for trailers similar to yours and compare. |

I've been doing a lot of that, but I'm not sure the bank will honor it that way. It's worth a shot though! I'll print out a list of comparable trailers and fax that to her for consideration. |

Location: Mi | Its been a few years, but when I bought my new used trailer they bank needed a value on it. I called the dealership here that sold the make of the trailer I was buying, told them what I was buying, and what was going on. They faxed me over a value on it within a few minutes, bank didn't ask for anything else. |

Location: Southeast, Texas | I tried calling the local trailer dealership, but they told me all I could do would be to bring it in for an appraisal. That is $200 out of pocket, plus the trip. The seller isn't willing to pay the appraisal, and neither is my husband. We may end up going a different route altogether! |

Location: Oklahoma | I just purchased a new, used, trailer. The bank just used the price the dealership was asking as the value. Said thats what they always do. |

| I bought a 98 model about 4 years ago, bank wasn't thrilld at first about not being able to find a value and researched on trailer horse world too for comparable values. It is difficult to find anything comparable, as far as make, size, etc, bu eventually she just approved the loan. Probably helped that she was a horse person though! |

| There is a blue book on most trailers, rv and horse. Found out from a friend that works in the commissior of the revenue. It gives loan values.
