| I am looking at purchasing this broodmare. What are your thoughts on her bloodlines. If bred to a good stallion is this something you would like to see in bloodlines of your next barrel horse??

Location: SE KS | It's an ok pedigree, not as up on those lines as some of the others, but looks decent.

Dashing Jess Perry per equibase only had one start, placed 6th with a 51 SI and won $300.
Her dam is unraced per Equibase.
The mare herself was AA on the track, a race winner, but only won $600. Her dam has produced 3 winners but none of them are big money winners on the track.
Here's her second dam's info: I highlighted the mare's dam and the mare herself.
1st dam TEMPERED CASH-QH, by Dash for Cash-QH. Unplaced in QH races, $1,220. Last raced in 1994. Dam of 0 TB foals and dam of 8 QH foals, 4 to race, 2 winners, 3 ROM-- Fiscal Filly-QH SI 100 (f. by Raise a Secret-QH). Winner at 3 in QH races, $8,537, Register of Merit. Last raced in 2000. Hoarder-QH SI 96 (f. by Raise a Secret-QH). Winner at 2 and 3 in QH races in Mexico, $7,016 (USA), Register of Merit. Last raced in 2001. In the Bank-QH (g. by Raise a Secret-QH). Placed at 2 in QH races. Last raced in 1999. Care for Cash-QH (f. by Raise a Secret-QH). Unraced in TB and QH races. Dam of 0 TB foals and dam of 3 QH foals, 3 to race, all winners, 3 ROM-- Bono Jass-QH SI 86 (g. by Bono Jazz-QH). 3 wins at 6, 2010 in QH races in Mexico, placed at 2 in QH races in NA, $7,348 (USA), Register of Merit. Last raced in 2010. Be Perrys-QH SI 89 (f. by Dashing Jess Perry-QH). Winner at 3 in QH races, $2,298, Register of Merit. Last raced in 2010. Baby Bruces Filly-QH SI 88 (f. by Dashing Jess Perry-QH). Winner at 2 in QH races, Register of Merit. Last raced in 2009. Ride Em Cowboys-QH SI 94 (g. by Mai Kai-QH). See below. Last raced in 2010.
So anyway, from her race track record alone, and her family's race record alone, I don't think she would be strong enough for me to use her as a broodmare. If she was put on the barrels and really did well, won a lot, and proved herself in the arena I would be all over it.
Also, if she were by a more popular son of Mr Jess Perry that would help too.

Location: Around here somewhere... | It would depend on her price and what stallions I could afford to breed her to. If she was under $2000, and I could afford to breed her to a proven sire, I'd buy her and breed her to the best I could afford.

Location: Peg-Leg Julia Grimm | Race people wouldn't give her a second look. But as a barrel broody she's pretty decent. You don't need a AAA $465491651561 winner to breed good barrel babies. Just good disposition, conformation and pedigree. If you get her, breed to something with JOH, FG, FWF, or DTF. Those turny lines will do a lot to make a good barrel baby and make it more marketable.
