In 1989 a 24-year-old named Joan Butler and two other young women went missing from the Kansas City area.  A killer was brought to justice but no remains were ever found.  So tragic.  At least Holly's family has closure now sad as it may be.

Did the murderer never say what he/she did with the body?

I believe he contended he was not guilty so telling where the bodies were would not have worked so well.  There were leads to an old cellar and then a bunch of 55-gallon drums that if I remember right did had remains in them but not theirs.
