| We all know the story of the fall in the Garden of Eden. that our intimacy with God rests on our obedience to Him. And if we are not close to God through obedience, we are separated from Him through our disobedience and therefore forfeit receiving His blessing.
Adam and Eve were given a simple charge, and that was to stay away from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Any other bountiful blessing and experience in the garden was theirs;
And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, " Of every tree the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die Genesis 2:16-17
Deuteronomy 11:22-25 If you carefully observe all thee commands I am giving you to follow to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways and to hold fast to him. then the Lord will drive out all these nations before you, and you will dispossess nations larger and stronger than you. Obedience brings protection from death and defeat of all kinds. In Romans 6:23 the Bible says, that "the wages of sin is death." So if you obey God , you will be blessed with life. Death is a curse that Jesus died on the cross to release us from. He recaptured the blessing of an abundant life for us. All we have to do is receive His gift and walk in it by being obedient to His Word.
The choice is yours;
See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse, the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; the curse if you disobey the commands and turn the way that I command you today by following other gods, which you have not known. Deuteronomy 11:26-28
OBEDIENCE AS SING OF TRUE FAITH
We are exercising our confession of faith and commitment of love to God when we choose to obey Him If we only say with our mouth that we believe in God yet do nothing of what he tells us, we are no different from the devils and demons who tremble and believe James 2:17-19 In the same way, faith by itself , if its is not accompanied by action , is dead. But someone will say " You have faith: I have deeds." Show me your faith without the deeds , and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God. GOOD! Even the demons believe that and shudder.
Active faith is what breeds the perfect environment for the supernatural blessing of God. When you have an active faith , you can receive supernatural healing, deliverance, divine warnings of danger up ahead, provision , and protection.
You active faith allows you to stay connected to and abiding in the vine. Psalm 91 is a perfect example of one who is walking in the blessing of obedience.
Your obedience to God's direction and instruction for you life says that your trust and believe that He knows what's best for you, that you honor your commitment to follow him, and that you understand that your perspective on overcoming life's challenges are limited. Anything less than obedience is just lip service.
In order to receive the blessing of God, you must demonstrate that He is Lord of your life. Obedience is the testing ground that proves that. He wants you to be His, and He wants to be yours. He has life for you, but you have to give your broken down life back to Him and follow His plan for success, prosperity, and peace.
Luke 10:27 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind.

I have to share that I have the protection of God's hand, Monday night I was putting on Permain Basin Fair Barrel race.
was walking across alley to turn on timers. A girl, came up to gate in alley, the horse reared up over me, I went one way he came toward me, stayed up in air the whole time , I was able to get out of his way when he came down to the ground.
PRAISING GOD FOR HIS PROTECTION IT COULD HAVE BEEN THE DEATH OF ME. | |

| Thank you Ladyjockey for sharing that testimony and praise the Lord for your safety. I too have a similiar testimony I have would like to share. Two weeks ago I woke at 5:30 with an all too familiar pain. I was having a pancreatitis attack. I have had 2 others in the last 5 years and my husband and I both know all too well. We started to the hospital and I was in horrendous pain. I folded my arms and leaned forward on the dashboard of the truck with the air conditioner blowing wide open in my face, while sweat poured from me from the pain. I began to pray out loud for the Lord to take away my pain, please make it stop, don't let this be another attack, for him to protect me. Within the first minute I began to feel his presence, his hand upon me and I let him know. I said I know you are here, I feel you, I feel your comfort and within the next minute or two, my pain had completely stopped. I sat back up in the seat and told my husband that God had taken away my pain. We decided to go back home. I felt confident and trusted my care to God. I already had a drs appt. scheduled for something unrelated that day and when I told him he wanted to do the blood test to confirm if it was in fact my pancreas. If it was, my levels would still be elevated. I knew it would not show anything because God had not let it be that, and of course the test was negative. But I know, and I know what God did, the blessing of obedience. | |
