I have a project horse that I've picked up. He's 10 years old, broke, gentle, and has a nice big stop. However, he does not like a bit in his mouth (his teeth were done 2 months ago). He constantly chews on it and will take his tongue and literally have it hanging out so far he is practically reaching under to his throatlatch.! I've ridden him in a 'lil S hack and yesterday rode in a stop 'n turn. He does fine in a hack. But I need educating on hacks so I can get one that would be best for him. He's very touchy, the slightest movement of your hands and he'll stop his forward motion. I've been only walking and troting, trying to get him to give me his nose and trot a circle. No loping yet. He tends to prefer traveling to the left vs. the right. Someone educate me on hacks.! Thanks..!! :-)
