Location: Southeast, Texas | We have a mare with white line disease in her right front. She is non-weight bearing on the right leg and it is putting a lot of stress on the left leg. What is the best way to help support her on that leg that is safe to wear for longer periods? Polo wrap that leg? Sport boot that leg? Standing wraps? |

Location: Texas | I would use the white no bow wraps and standing wraps on top. I would also look into getting some soft rides for her.
Is she on pain meds right now? |

Right now she is on bute, antibiotics, and that foot is all wrapped up with strict instructions on how to clean it daily. I've never used soft rides, guess I'll get to reading on them!
Thank you for your suggestion. |

| BOT wraps and bell boots on both from feet. You might also try Hoof andHair and Painaway in her feed |

Location: Winging It in KY | Definitely put the Soft Rides on her. Mine went from totally lame to being able to get around his stall pretty good with them on. |

Location: Southeast, Texas | Thanks y'all. I have her wrapped up. It worries me because she is a little long in the pastern and she truly looked like she was "sagging." I don't want to do damage on the good side while working on the bad side. |

I never thought to wrap his legs.. |

Location: Southeast, Texas | More advice needed. We are currently wrapped with TWO no bow wraps under a standing bandage per vet orders. We are starting to see a slight bow in the tendon area. (If y'all can a spare a prayer for her, I could use it!!)
My question now is- BOT products. I have none. Is it truly worth investing in the BOT no bows? What about the quick wraps? What about the no bows and the wraps? Help! |

Wrap bow. Can you do 12 hours on/12 hours off? Are you wrapping both legs or just the good one?
Right now I am only wrapping the good (left) leg, she is completely non weight bearing on the bad (right) leg. The vet has me using extra no bows under a track wrap. He wants the leg (the good one) rubbed down with DMSO/Furazone and wrapped up tight with the no bows. The other leg (bad one) is back to being soaked and diapered. Her pain meds were upped to try to encourage her to bear weight on the right leg too, in hopes of relieving some of the strain on the left leg! I would be willing to invest in the BOT wraps, or quick wraps if they would truly help the situation. I'm open to all suggestions. I am terrified we are going to do lasting damage to the good leg waiting on the bad leg to heal. |

Location: California | Definitely soft rides and standing wraps. I work at an all equine vet and anything that is off in the front gets standing wraps and soft rides constantly. |
