| My gelding seems sore. He keeps blowing his first barrel and is really cinchy.
I need to take him to a good lameness vet within a reasonable drive of Winnsboro. Any recommendations? I was thinking about trying Dr. Taraba in Pittsburg.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

From the few times I've used him, I've been very pleased with Wes Williams. |

LOL. I am the same way about Crable. He gave me three serious misdiagnosis when he was at Lone Star Park. But I guess that is why we have so many to choose from. |

I used Taraba before, would never do it again, diagnosed my horse with an issue that TWO other vets confirmed after is not existent and he missed the main issue. |

Location: East Texas | I also will never use Dr Taraba again. He misdiagnosed many of my horses. Dr Jessica Garrett is great, I loved her when she was the intern at LSP. I also use Dr McCarroll in Pilot Point and he has really helped my horses. Also Dr Ransom is a traveling vet that I use. |

I agree with Canchasr1, Crabill just didn't work out for us when he was at Lonestar. Also, I would not recommend Dr. Ransom. |

Location: ARKANSAS | If your horse seems really sore and is cinchy....not wanting to turn a barrel...then i would suggest getting him scoped for ulcers...sounds like an ulcer issue to me NOT a Lameness issue..I am speaking out of experience regardless of which vet you choose.. |
