Location: Kansas | I'm going to preface this by saying it was NOT our best run, but we have really been struggling in outdoor pens lately so even making this solid of a run was cause for excitement.
Streak and I finally won money running barrels together by getting 1st in the 4D at a district NBHA show Saturday afternoon. It was a fairly small jackpot but he outran 6 or 7 horses thanks to his speed on the homestretch.

For comparison, Chance ran an 18.6 or 7 and Cliff ran an 18.8, so Streak was right there where he'd been being compared to Chance. We're still working on smoothing out his turns, and I rated him too much at the 1st because he'd been going by it several strides in the big outdoor pens, but we'll get there I think. |
