To have a great wealth means far more than having a large amount of money or possessions. Great wealth can also include having wisdom, knowledge, and common sense, among other things. What is notable about this list, however , is how the worth of each is magnified when it is shared.
When Moses told Israel that God gave them the power to get wealth, he assured them that it was so that God's covenant could be established. Deut. 8:18 It was not so they could hoard the wealth and keep it all themselves. Likewise, we are not to hoard wealth of any kind but are to use it for God's purposes. Whether it is financial blessing or receiving words of wisdom, knowledge, or common sense, when wealth is shared, lives are enriched.
When you are entrusted by God with wealth, your first responsibility is to Him in how you use it. Are you a conduit that He can use to enrich others? Or are you a reservoir that keeps getting fuller and fuller?
What ha God entrusted to you? If money, how are you using it? If wisdom, do you share it? If knowledge, do you make it available for others so they can learn? If common sense, are you a mentor to those who need it?
Wealth is to be shared, so start sharing. Be a point of light of Jesus, pay it forward.
