A steel framed aluminum 4 horse? Most of the time it won't be fully loaded but if it was I don't want to put the truck in a bind.

Not sure what the weight is. It has a weekender package and a 6ft shirt wall. I'm looking at buying it

My parents have never had a truck bigger than a 3/4 ton and for years they pulled a big honkin heavy steel trailer, 3 horse with 4'shortwall LQ, for years and years. One truck was a 2500 chevy diesel (this truck pulled that sled of a trailer from Ohio to TX and back twice) and their other truck back then was a 2500 chevy silverado gas. Then they got an aluminum Exiss 4 horse with 4' shortwall LQ and pulled it fully loaded with the 2500 chevy diesel or a 2500 dodge gas v8. Never had a problem.

I'd say you will be fine. I always say it's not the getting going thats a problem, it's the stopping in a hurry if there is an emergency that you have to worry about if your truck isn't big enough.
