Location: NE Texas | She and the other "Kaycee" may be the only ones brave enough to endure a day with us, LRQHS. I'm thinking east Texas may have been evacuated! Even CG is evacuating. She's headed to my house tomorrow night them on to OK Saturday to pick up some mares.....central/western LA must be too close for comfort.....

Location: Somewhere in the middle of nowhere | I would be there in a New York minute (not sure if that is any different than a Texas minute) but we are getting ready to go Elk hunting, so unfortunately I can't. Otherwise, hanging out with sassy women and downing cold margaritas on a sunny Saturday is usually up my alley. |

Ha.... I like the mental picture of me driving, the filly next to me hanging in the front seat ... and then STACKS of boxes full of barn kitties all strapped into the "bed" headin' back to KS .... |

Its not really that far...we have a lot of rednecks up here who like their beer. I can even think of a guy I could maybe set you up with...if you don't mind one just a few years younger (in his late thirties). If you want the full Montana experience, come in January, LOL. |

We'd tear it up. And I could bring all the little kitties you want to my old boarding stable. The owner has about a million cats there because folks keep dumping them, so they will be right at home... |

No, the tenants took the chihuahuas when they left. But I'm sure we could find you and Herbie some comfy accomodations somewhere. |

You big chicken!!!! The January part is the adventure! You can join in on the body hair growing contest and bring a mutt. As for you and I being co-pilots....I gotta feeling you and I will be doing LOTS of driving. I know Jen will have a cooler....or two, but of course Montana in the winter does lend itself to a pick up bed full of snow, which in turn offers a very large, deep, NATURAL cooler. |

Absolutely...or you can have a hot toddy or hot buttered rum to warm up on the way. Actually...I remember going to the pro rodeo finals (as a spectator of course, LOL) in January and it was 40 degrees out! We can have some of the cookiest weather...but if it snows, all the more fun. We can treat you to some real Montana sports...like snow shoveling...we will provide the shovels. |

A blistering 40 degrees??? Yay! But let me warn you....I live in Texas and if it's below 50 i'm wearing a hoodie and a down coat. So me in Montana in January could be a real sight to see! Picture the little boy in the snow suit in the Christmas Story......

Eek.....i've actually experienced a little of Indiana winter and it's too cold for this cowgirl. It's too flat and windy up there and those snow banks are too deep! I'm comfortable at 90 degrees.....and curse loudly when we get snow/ice....so I think either mine or LRQHS's place needs to be the winter retreat. Ya'll that are north of the Mason-Dixon can be the summer sanctuaries!!!! |

That sounds like Kansas for you. I've been there and other than visit relatives there isn't much to do in Kansas. :) lolHowever I was in Texas for the first time last November and it was 80 degrees where I was and it was so nice... compared to the snow and 30 degrees we were having up here in Montana. But at least we have good PRCA finals rodeo in January. |

Sorry, I'm so late on responding today but I had to take my ponies to some exh's, in which they rocked, unlike my Red Raiders that lost to the Cowboys. Herbie, wouldn't that be hilarious!?! I actually have two wiener dogs that could be our mascots in that thing. We were headed down to Austin when I saw that tank and I made my DH speed up so I could snap the pic! I was soooo friggin excited to see it. No one else shared my enthusiasm. |

It was in October and we drove back to Texas from there. Nice! My MIL is also from there. Her pictures of her ranch up there are beautiful. I'm not too far away from Boise! Where is her ranch? Maybe I know them Next time you come visit pick up the rest of the BHW crew and stay a while!
Redman, my MIL is from near Coeur d'alene(sp?s way off on that,) but she always says she grew up in the "neck" of Idaho. Does that sound right? Her maiden name is York. |

I still risk coming so be on the lookout for my modified Suburban.... BLAHAHAHAHA.....i'm totally figuring out how to hook a horse trailer to that and i'm hauling with YOU to the barrel races!!!! It will be ironic when we unload our collection of weiner dogs!
Did someone say weiner dawg?!?!?! Let's make it a trifect, as I too have one to add. Well, she's mostly weiner dawg. LOL As for your beloved Red Raiders.....it ain't looking too good for them this year, but you still get the HOT COACH award and that is worth enduring the loss to get a glimpse or two of him.
Congrats on your ponies....I need to send you mine to take to the exh's! I've almost got him back under control I think. I've kind of loped through the last two nights verrrrry slowly with no incidents. Baby steps....

Location: DUMPING CATS AND PIGS IN TEXAS :) | Ok. I'm outta here. Have to go buy a stun gun for crazy people wanting to take pictures and hug me......
Would really appreciate a few of you Texas folks leaving me a phone number here if you're willing to come bail me out should something happen while I'm there. Hopefully, there isn't a "no cat dumping" law there. |
