My horses are on 24-7 pasture with 24-7 access to slow feed hay nets containing grass hay. The small pasture that I have is almost dead for the year.

I feed about 7 lb in the morning and 7lb at night with about 2T of salt in the feed at night. I feed a big flake of hay morning and night and keep out loose horse minerals. My mare is a BIG mare--16-3. I feed by horse's weight so a smaller horse may not need quite so much feed. Probably should weigh out hay but can guess pretty well on that.

When I had more mares and land, I fed mine all natural cattle cubes, and they were on pasture or grass round bales.

Now that I only have one mare, she eats what all the other horses eat.

I've only got one. I just want to be sure she is getting all the vitamin and minerals she needs.
