So i've never purchased a new sofa/sectional... i was lucky enough to have a la-z-boy given to me that was used when we first got married and now it is shot. And now i'm having such a hard time trying to find a new one to replace it! I went and looked at La-Z-Boy cuz of course i love ours... and there is no way i'm spending 5,000 for a couch!! i'm thinking more the 1,500 range! But each time i find one i think i like i read the reviews and they usually are bad... but the one i like right now (New Classic) i can't find any reviews on the company at all and it has been in business for 10 years?! how is this possible? I need help please! Is the brands that big of a deal? Anyone have power reclining?

Check out Union Furniture out of Ft Smith, AR. They are a small manufacturer and relatively inexpensive. I've had mine for a few years and it's held up very well. I don't think they sell directly to the public, but they have a list of dealers on their website.

Honestly.....I'd take a look at your local craigslist. I bought my couch off there, and it's a sectional! The people had it less than 6 months, no pets and didn't smoke....so it was practically brand new and I got it for $400!!!!

Wow you got a great deal! i would do craigslist but... my hubby has this idea stuck in his head that ppl do "nasty" thigns on there couch! lol!! so he won't go there! the one we have now was my moms and she's been single for many years so there was no thinking that!!!
I looked up the Union furniture looks like great stuff but unfortunatley it is only at like 5 stores and none in my area :(
