Location: East Texas | You need to get a vet to verify that she is still in foal. Things happen and mares can slip at any point in their pregnancy. You can call the owner or the ranch where the stallion stands and ask if that mare was booked to that stud, and if they had a confirmed pregnancy from the owner. Sometimes the LFG transfers to the next owner and sometimes it does not. Just depends on what the stallion contract said. When we buy a mare in foal, we do not transfer her out of previous owners name until that baby is alive and healthy. You will just have to look at discription or pictures on the papers to determine it is that mare. |
