Charmayne was the exemption. It was held back in March of this year at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. I don't think it is replaying anywhere unless you can find some of it on YouTube. They have a facebook page with all the updates about next year and the qualifiers thus far.

Very cool!!! We're going to the semis if they're that close.

What are the dates for the Semifinals?  I have looked but can't find them anywhere.  We went last year last minute, but I'm thinking this year it might be harder to get rooms and tickets.

Question...  do the exemptions (as in BBR, NHSRA, College champ, etc.) have to run in the semi finals or are they considered like the top ten NFR girls and just advance straight on to the rodeo?

They go straight to the American and can only run for $100,000 not a $1,000,000

eta: they don't have to accept the exemption, last year BBR winner Andrea Cline denied the exemption and qualifed through a qualifier so she could run for the million.

It is confusing but the high school and college champion exemptions go to the semi-finals:
On May 21, RFD-TV announced the second RFD-TV's THE AMERICAN Presented by Polaris RANGER will take place on March 1, 2015 and the National High School Rodeo Association champions of the 7 traditional events will also be awarded exemptions into RFD-TV's THE AMERICAN Semifinals.

Thank you both for the info!

Why would they have the same exemption as last year? Will all the exemptions be the same in each event for 2015?

She's entered 2 horses in this weekends qualifier, so I'm assuming that means she didn't take the exemption. I don't see a reason why she would anyways, with the horses she has there's no doubt she will qualify! Some people think it's not fair that hse has the horses she does, but that girl works so hard, I would LOVE to see her win the million.

This year they let the fans vote. They did a massive thing on Facebook/Twitter/etc.

The fans chose Charmayne.

I just read that it will be held March 1st again in Arlignton at the AT&T Stadium.  Is there a place we can watch the semifinals?

I really wish they would have announced at the finals last year that a fan exemption would be chosen. Many people did not know when or where to vote....I've been out of the loop and would have loved to vote for Sharon! I wish each event for the American had its own fb page and they updated us regularly about info, qualifies, semi-finals, exemptions, webcasts, etc.. Gosh that would be so helpful!

She draws a crowd for one and secondly it sounds like the fans chose her.  You can't blame it on the American....blame it on CJ's fans.

I believe she was selected by RFD-TV not fan voting.  Randy Bernard said she was a favorite last year and because of her resume they asked her back.  But for the reasons above she is a good selection.  I think the fan voting just started as of Wednesday and the kick-off show on RFD.
