| What would you breed to this mare? http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/cee+the+view
Do merridoc or game plan horses make good barrel horses?
$1000 budget

| She is an own daughter of Merridoc. That itself is pretty special. I'd consider Lions Share of Fame, Chasin Firewater, or Slick by Design if you are still trying to keep it reasonable. |

I agree with all of these suggestions. ^^^^
I really love the way your mare is bred. If she is ever for sale, please let me know! |

| You probably already know this but merridoc daughters cross very well with corona cartel sons for fast babies. It looks like someone already tired that with Dale Badon. That similar cross with Dale Badon and a Merridoc mare produced Bold Badon and a few other really nice horses. |

Location: DUMPING CATS AND PIGS IN TEXAS :) | Not trying to promote my boy....but, I can't help it because of how your mare is bred. I'm going to ship semen on him in 2015 and he is out of a daughter of Tinys Gay, which I think would look really nice on the foals pedigree. I, also, agree with the other suggestions of trying to afford a bit more than $1000 for this mare. Scorcho will stand for $600....but, there are some really nice studs out there that would compliment this mare for a little more than $1000.

I'd have to agree with this. I have a yearling filly by El Scorcho and know that there are at least 2 set to be futurity horses in the next year or two and are in very competant hands. This filly I have is absolutely the best minded, smartest, and easy to deal with youngster i've ever been around. I'd have a pasture full of El Scorcho's if I could! I know that the others who have colts by him are equally as impressed as I am and they are all making really nice horses!
I met LRQHS in Tyler, TX last weekend to pick up my filly. She'd never been hauled prior to that. She drank a big bucket of water, walked to her pen, loaded right up in my trailer and hauled in a slant like a big girl. Backed off very slowly like she'd done it a million times and stuck her head in her feed bucket when we got home. She didn't stress not one bit over that trip. That in itself speaks volumes to me as far as what kind of mind she has. She's pretty easy on the eyes to boot....as are all of the others! |

If you are set on breeding this year - hit up el sorcho ... :) that would be a SUPER nice mare to put him on with a fantastic pedigree and a reasonable fee since he is maybe not as promoted as some of the other stallions with comparable pedigrees.
Good Luck! |

If your mare has produced people may give her considerations so if you looked at 1250-1500. Maybe, I do not know as I have not been breeding and did not ask for considerations. Also some stallions give early booking discounts if you are in the position to make a move now.
