This came across my computer this morning and while it's directed towards emergency personel, it does give you some information from the CDC.

If it isn't airborne I wonder how the U.S. reporter in Liberia got it.   Interesting read......thanks.

It is fairly easy to come into contact (accidentally or otherwise) with body fluids from someone else. However, LRQHS has posted some good information for sure.

I also like this NPR bit discussing the likelihood of one sick person to infect others with ebola ( compared to a sick person with HIV, SARS, Mumps, Measels, etc) .... http://www.npr.org/blogs/health/2014/10/02/352983774/no-seriously-h...

Was this the guy that helped a pregnant woman into a taxi (i.e, carried her) and she had ebola?

No, I think that's just the confirmed case in Dallas.

Thanks for the information. Good to know about the bats especially around Halloween, lol. But personally I think a lot of the problem with the ebola scare is how many people are uninformed. But that is just my opinion.

For sure. Uninformed people or people who are mis-informed sure do make things worse.

I read an article this morning written by a nurse who brought up a good point. A cold or flu is a virus, as ebola is and we all know how easy it is to catch the flu so... she also pointed out how the doctors etc have to wear haz mat suits when treating victims and/ or areas infected vs.wearing simple masks and gloves for treating, for example, aids patients. Food for thought anyways. I figure that the cdc et all doesn't want mass hysteria and I'm not advocating panick but wanted to share.

GLP - 2014-10-03 10:46 AM Does anyone know how the camera man was contaminated?

I can't find the article, but I read on CNN last night that he had only been hired by NBC the day prior. He has been living and working in the area for several years. I believe it stated he was an advocate/aid worker. I will try to find it when I have a sec...

Does anyone know how the camera man was contaminated?

I saw an interview on CNN with this man's father who is a medical Dr. When he was asked this his response was his son remembers helping clean an area and some of the spray got on his face. Made me wonder about the people pressure washing the area in TX where the man with Ebola threw up.
