Was cleaning my horse trough and low and behold I found the top of a tooth. It had to come from him as I have a different trough for every horse to monitor drinking. It cannot have been there more than a week as I dump and refill troughs every week. I have never owned a 3 year old so I don't know if this is normal or what. Lolol. He seems to be eating fine and mouth is not sore. Any ideas?

Sounds like he may have lost a cap. Not uncommon in 3 year olds.

Sounds like he just lost a baby tooth.
I found one hanging from my horse's mouth when he was younger. Looked like a broken tooth, but it was a baby tooth. It wasn't very big when the vet showed it to me. I called the vet. He pulled it the rest of the way with his fingers, and I think laughed at me a little.

I don't know why it doubles posted but yea. NY vet is laughing cause I have never had a 3 year old. I usually don't buy younger than 5. Lol

I would say he's losing his caps, with all the young horses that I had over the years I was always finding caps
