I have an 8 year old gelding. He is Mr Eye Opener out of a Beduino/Streakin Six mare.

I adore him. He is definitely quirky though. He has spent the last year in training with Brenda Mays. He's FINALLY starting to run confidently and really getting comfortable with himself. She has had to go really slowly with him because he has a pretty fragile mind. Physically, he's talented; mentally.... We will see. Lol

He raced quite a bit on the track, was off for a few years, then I bought him and sent him to Brenda when I got pregnant. I'm picking him up this coming weekend!! If you pm me your email, I'd be happy to send you some videos of him on the pattern.

I rode one once.  He was huge and he was beautiful but frightening to ride as he would go from sweet and manageable one minute to completely nuts the next.  I've had horses like this that didn't scare me one iota but the sheer size and strength of this guy was very intimidating.

Mine is huge too. He's every millimeter of 16.3 hands. He doesn't get unmanageable by any means, but when something distracts him - it REALLY distracts him. He's just very quirky. My husband and I lovingly call him "Shelly" as in "Sheldon Cooper" from The Big Bang Theory. The similarities are uncanny. Lol

I have a Mr. Eye Opener grandson named Hank. Hanks mom, and full two siblings are that gorgeous grey and stand over 16 Hands. thankfully Hank is Bay and 15.3. But all those horses, especially the mom, have such quiet, gentle minds. There are times when Hank gets excited, but for the most part, he is super quick and quiet :) Congrats on your new horse!!!

Thanks! I'm super excited. She's also a daughter of Knud With Wings.
