My weanling is pretty big for his age. He measured at 64" so I bought a 66". It's a little big but not overly large. It will last a little while at least.

I try to buy one or two sizes big... On my yearlings a couple years ago I had a 66 and a 69. Buckled up the fronts as tight as they go and just let them hang a bit. They grew into them.

We blanketed everyone last year, only ever blanketed the hard keepers before... It made a huge difference in how much they ate all winter and how happy they were. I'm a blanket believer now lol
I am going to blanket my weanlings for the first time ever this year. I always blanket the ones we ride and last year even did the broodies and they loved it. So I figure if it helps keep the kids warm and happy and using their feed for growth and not warmth they will grow more. Mine all measured around a 55 so figure I can go 58 or so and hopefully make it through the winter. I need to go remeasure though because they have all grown since weaning.
