Yeah, uh so...I'm driving through old ranch property near Benson Az and the day was glorious. Sunflowers blooming along the freeway, white fluffy clouds floating in a cobalt blue sky. We've had so much rain this year that it's a jungle out there. And sitting among a bed of weeds was this. A 1955 horse trailer. A old weathered cardboard sign that said;

"Kelly. Take me home and save me."

So I pulled over and the kid was more than happy to have this taken off his hands...

My husband may never speak to me again....

"What? You can fix anything, Ty. Why are you looking at me like that?"
"It NEEDS you."

"No, I don't want a divorce! No, I only paid two hundred for it."

"I don't think it used to haul dinosaurs but that is an awfully big shit petrified in the back..."

"Ty...Ty... honey...don't walk out on me...."

Stay tuned to see what happens next....My divorce or a magical restoration of this really crappy trailer.

Well, that doesn't look terribly bad. Maybe Ty won't divorce you just yet.  Maybe a goldmine in the making!!

 Looks like the first trailer I had - and had to make payments on - LOL  But - I'm in Oregon so imagine it with a ton of rust !

Maybe you could start a new trend with refurbishing old horse trailers -  like the old travel trailer refurbishing trend!

There's this one guy who loads his horse in a landscape trailer and the sides are wooden fencing.  I'm always scared to death when I see him heading for the wed night ropings.

1898?? Lightfoot were there even trucks back then to pull it? bwhahahaaaaa  j.k.

So yeah, it's still sitting out there ignored.  I can't even mention it to hubs.  But on a side note...we had a power surge this morning and it activated the scores of halloween props that plug in ....needless to say it was a hell of a way to wake up.  Scared me to hell and back.

Here you go.  This one will not be forgotten by anybody.  When we brought it home, rust literally was falling down onto the ground.  My husband tore it down to the frame to find a nest of lady bugs.  We had lady bugs around here for months.  LOL.  Then one day he was welding on the frame and that night we were on the other side of the house when I could smell steaks.  I thought the neighbor was having a barbeque.  The next morning we discovered that a stray welding spark started all the wood he removed from the sides and the floor on fire.    My husband completely rebuilt the entire trailer.    NOTHING will EVER be as EVIL as Big Blue.
