I am a Freak

Location: Nowhere Special | I'm still going to end up back in TX but want to wait for this whole ebola thing to settle down first. In the meantime I have an opportunity to go work in AZ and make some really big money that would give me the cushion I need for another winter away from home. I would be working out of Winslow. I looked at their fb page and its like a mexican boarder town with all the crime! Flagstaff is to expensive. Are there any small towns close that are safe and cheap living? (doing all this so I can get a good cushion don't want to spend it on rent and what not) How are the barrel races? What is AZ in the winter even like? I know absolutley nothing about AZ so any and all info would be greatly appreciated! |

| Winslow is like nowhere AZ. Not much to do there but get in trouble and there is a large prison there and some truck stops. There isn't too much close to there due to the reservation. I haven't raced up there since I live in the Phx area. It is colder up there than down here and seems to be windy a lot up there. I mean you can drive thru that town in 2 minutes okay a little longer 3 min. They can get some snow up there since we had wierd weather this summer and it is cooling down early this year I think the winter will be colder up there than the last few years. The daytime right now is in the 60's and down in the 30's in the last few days. |

| Winslow is nothing.... I couldn't live there.
Too bad about Flagstaff's prices, because it's beautiful and there's a lot of nice stables there. Definitely get some snow and cold! |

Location: In The Snow, AZ | I'm in flagstaff. And yes it is beautiful. Were backed up to acres upon acres of forested trails. But yes, it is expensive. And cold. And there's no barrel racing, period. Especially in the winter. Nada. Its depressing. |

Location: White Mountains of AZ | Snowflake is not to far south of Winslow. Near Show Low. It's small, but lots of horse property. Never had a problem living here. And depending on your vehicle not to bad of a drive. Then there is Holbrook. Which is even closer to Winslow. I however, would never want to live there. Way to sketchy for me. But try Snowflake :) |

Location: White Mountains of AZ | Buckeye is nice, but not very close to Winslow if that is where you are going to be working at! |
