Has anyone ever done it? Why? Is it worth it?

I have it in mortality and major medical, the major medical is great because my deductible is only $350 so it doesn't take much to get over that at the vet. I like it because when my gelding was having a breathing problem and we scoped him multiple times it cost me $350 rather than the $2500 that it would have after scoping him multiple times over the course of 3 weeks.

Just like any insurance you pay a premium to protect you from what "might" happen. If you have a lot of money invested in a horse or it would cost you a lot of money to replace that horse should something happen..its a great idea. Especially if you use that horse constantly, have a loan taken out on them ect.
Its pretty common where I live. Especially with rodeo mounts.

I have mortatlity and I do it for peace of mind.  I'm not in debt with horses, but if he was to fall over dead tomorrow it wouldd take me a few months to save up the money just to begin search process all over again.

I will be looking into major medical though.  That's something I KNOW I could probably benefit from!
