Gail probably remembers my telling her that I thought Butler and Gordon were good ballplayers several years ago. I haven't been this excited about a baseball team in quite some time. They are playing sharp and just refuse to lose. I think they are masterfully managed by Ned Yost too. He does a lot of things that don't get noticed and the timing of his moves is uncanny. No one superstar on that team...just a bunch of good ballplayers playing to win. Masterful. The Giants are going to have their hands full with this bunch. I can't even begin to predict this year's Series. Baseball at it's finest.
I wish I could get everyone tickets. I have so many baseball stories about the players that lived in our baseball house. They are a different breed for sure.
The Royals are playing like kids and enjoying every second of being champions. I sure hope they can keep up the mojo heading into the World Series.
