Checotah Round up Club, Checotah Oklahoma will be taking bids for Tuesday night barrel racing on the second Monday in January at the Monthly meeting held at the round up club. 7:00 pm. We will also be taking bids for Team roping and the consession stand. The new presidents Doug Madwell, Barrel racing director is Kathy Heck and Team roping director is Fred Lawhorn. I need suggestions on how to get barrel racing producers coming back to Checotah to put on some barrel races. Thanks so much.

Woohoo for you and Doug!! You guys need to get some sand in that arena for sure, jmo. I've heard quite a few people say the ground isn't as up to par as it used to be. I think you get that fixed and you will have lots of producers coming in. I know last time I came up the ground was really sticky but at the Betty Roper it looked better for sure. Hopefully we can get a good producer to come in and run things like they should be! Brittany did a fantastic job and hopefully we can get someone who keeps it going instead of just a year or so.
