Anyone have any pics id like to see what they really look like on a horse or are they stupid or uncool or outdated? ?? I dont see any where I run but im just getting started.

Some are really cool, I think my horse would try to eat it. The other one would try to kill me if I put that on her.

I have a beaded set with fringe and when I went to the Barrel Bash I bet 50 people came up and told me they loved it.  I am putting fringe on the next one I do for myself too!   I can't seem to get my pics small enough to post but I will keep trying.

I'm waiting for the next big trend so I can be ahead of the game, I have a fringed shirt I wear at super shows which is one of my favorite!

When are feathers coming back, I still have tons of those lol

I resorted to brows, blacks and whites since they match everything - lots of leather

Thats how my husband thinks! Im pretty sure his blood pressure went up when I told him I wanted to start running barrels and take a break from roping.

The set ive got my eye on is actually on ebay and under $200 which I think is a great deal ! all of our tack is plain jane right down to the leather splint boots lol! Ive added some color to our tackroom lately but we need some bling!

Not a fan personally of the fringed look. I do like the painted tack and some bling. I know a girl rode with a fringed set at the NFR this last year, Shada Brazile I believe.

I'm not a fan of fringe or angora or any of that stuff hanging off a breast collar or headstall. I do really like the exotic inlays, fancy tooling and a little bling.

You should!  I think it depends on the horse.  Some of my horses look dumb in it.  If they are a leaner built horse I just don't like it.  Crackhead and my old stud Bugs are built like tanks and it just fits them.

Funny you say that about the leaner built horse looking odd in one because I was thinking about that! I have one that actually is my hubbys roping horse, hes thick built wide chested. My horse is a tad on the narrower side, I dont think he could pull it off. Hes built more like a TB.

Exactly. No different than a pulling collar looks funny on a narrow horse but one that's got a thick chest looks good in them.

Ctrygirl14 - 2014-10-22 6:10 AM I'm pretty sure CYA Ranch has one that is amazing! Hopefully she can post a picture of it.
Thanks sweetie!  The one I'm using now is white angora but I'm having South Grove Tack make me a hot pink fringe as we speak.  Hoping its done soon.  I'll see if I can find a picture of Crackhead rocking her angora.  I personally like anything a little crazy.
Very VERY flashy! I think im just gonna go for it!

Well poop! I was thinking I wanted one but ultimately the set will be used on my horse since im only "borrowing" my hubbys big beefy rope horse to run on while my horse is being seasoned. I highly doubt he'd continue to use it while roping... afraid he would get beat up in the parking lot or laughed out of the pen by his buddies!

I'm loving the fringe and that turquoise posted is awesome.   I think my own little Crackhead could rock it.  She didn't come to me with that name but my daughter kept saying over and over "Mom, your horse is on crack" so she's earned it.

I don't own one, but I have a horse next year I think could pull the look off. . . I'm not a fan of most of them, but this one I could stare at all day! Its made by Hooligan Designs. I'm putting it on my wish list!

I'm not a fan of many fringe tack sets, but when I saw this one I fell in love!! I'd totally sport it!

I made that Thank-you so much for all the kind words! I love, love, love fringe, and would love to put it on everything, haha. I've made so many fringe breastcollars now, I've lost track. I really like the look of the double fringe too - dark colored and light colored fringe together... And I've made a tripper with fringe - I LOVED it... So many things to make, so little time ;)

Most of you know me as Hooligan Designs, but I've recently bought a stallion (PC Double Frost) from Perry, so hence the different avatar/name... New adventures
