Below or above are my 8 year old appendix mares papers. Right now she is normally winning or placing in the 1D against tough north Texas competition and I'm really not pushing her, just a few kicks here and there. I just want to know if anyone has had papers like hers and what the horses outcome was? I know this is going to sound really amateur but does anyone think she can compete against some tough horses at the big shows? Does she have the speed to be in the 1D at big shows? I think she has really good potential to be up there, but I need some other opinions so I'm not just day dreaming about something that won't happen.

Though her papers didnt come through to look at.... I can say this...those papers are only a reference. The only way to know if she has enough speed to compete at the big races is to go and find out. So many horses out there have papers that say they should run, but have no ablility, desire, heart, or confirmation to get the job done. Other horses have no papers or nothing recognizable on their papers and are freaks of nature. I personally try to keep only papered horses that have something I like on their papers to increase my chances of getting a horse with certain qualities and having better resale value. But truth of the matter is, horses dont know whats on their papers, they know whats in their hearts and bodies and just do what they know they can do. Papers are a great reference but by no means a perfect picture of their talents. Just go run her, see how she stacks up! :)
