Location: Red Raiderland | Me, Canchasr1, Herbie and Herbie's mom hung out today and I had such a good time having them over. These folks are truly good people, seriously! I even whipped up some "gourmet" pizzas for lunch for them. Shhh, Herbie don't tell them you saw the Digiorno boxes... We went on a long trail ride and all the ponies were soooo good. We want to plan another ride in the future so any of you folks that are close to our area come out and ride. We all LOVE talking horses! LRQHS, Canchasr is trying to compete with you on the kitty give away...she brought two tinnnnny little black and white kitties. They are sooooooo adorable. Myrtle did not seem to happy with the new crew. She told me I need to run this by her next time. |

We would love to have you SPTG! You'd have fit right in. How far away are you from us in East Texas? Heck, Herbie lives about an hour and half from me so she's not super close. Of course Canchasr1 and I are trying to get her to move closer to us. |

The only thing I can't handle is temps dropping below 50 so I would have to come visit in the summer for sure.

Tell Miss Ellie that I don't hold it against her one bit. It doesn't even hurt today. The pizza was divine, yes? Ugh, you had to bring up my Red Raiders didn't you? It still stings today. Of course we must do this again before winter blows in. It's such a good way to get those babies out and about but with the security of the grownups. I have just the perfect horse for LRQHS-the black cutting mare, don't ya think? |

LOL Maybe we should take pity on her just this once and let her ride the good ol bay bomber you had out with the black mare. You can just take one look at him and know he's a dang good one! We should have taken some pictures and will next time!

Ok, we can take pity on her and let Nero, my old boy, take extra good care of her. Frankie, the black mare, would kinda flush the "ick" from anyone that got on her at this point. I can't believe we didn't get pics of our day either! I'm headed to the barn right now to meet our vet so I'll try(try is the operative word here) and get some pics of those new kitties. They are busy bodies that will not stay still long enough to get pics but I'll really try today! And they are constantly "MEOWING"! They are not happy being locked in the tack room for a week. |

We have beautiful country, but I'd like to have froze last night when I was out working with my new colt. But it is beautiful. I don't want to steal the thread, but I'll give you a glimpse of what we live amongst.
BTW, there is snow on the mountains currently (no pictures of that yet), but it is even more beautiful!

Location: NE Texas | That is gorgeous, MT! I would love to spend about a week up there riding.....in the summertime of course! Where are you exactly? I've been to Bozeman for the CNFR about a hundred years ago and just fell in love with MT then....even though I was pretty inebriated for alot of that trip! HAHA
All kidding aside, I love MT and SD so much and would love to drive through all of that again some day now that I am old enough to truly appreciate it! |

I'm in Great Falls, so not far from Glacier National Park, where I took that picture. Bozeman is a pretty place too AND they have a lot of horse people and barrel races down there. But almost anywhere to ride is pretty around here...I could take you to some breaks on the Marias and Missouri rivers north of here that can only be traversed by horse (maybe a dirt bike if you like that sort of thing). Once I get my colt going, I hope to maybe take the horses up there and go ride with my folks. |

I'd actually worry more about wolves as we have seen them north of town (coyotes too, but they are little enough I'm not too afraid of them...same with foxes), but we've seen bears, and have had them as close as 20 miles radius of Great Falls. We have some really interesting wild life though, if you like wildlife. The places I have been in the US, only Montana and New Mexico I have seen prong-horned antelope, and we have a lot of deer (both muleys and white tail). Don't see elk very often, but they are here. Same with moose. And we have the neatest flora too, and I could tell you about all kinds of things, as every since I was little we have hiked or dirtbiked or road horses over this land, so I've learned a lot. But we could have a blast! My mare, Pebbles, is afraid of sheep (the domestic kind), St. Bernards, and quick flying Pheasants. But I'd still take her as I trust her. The young one isn't afraid of much yet, and is way too easy to work with...I'm running out of things to teach him (without riding) already as it takes him about 2 days, and he's like "I got this!" LOL. |

Location: Montana | I'm trying to think if it would be funnier to put Brian on my mare or on my colt. The colt isn't broke yet but hope to have him riding well by next summer, but is very smart. The mare is broke and very smart (i.e. if Brian's not a horse person it could be entertaining to put him on her especially if we see any sheep or St. Bernards :)). So, you likey my pictures??? Let's see what else I can show off! LOL. Okay, this was taken in the winter, not far from the family farm.

Girl, these two were frightened munchkins on Sun...NOT ANYMORE! When you open that tack room door they bust outta there like they've gotta plan! I let them out while I was feeding and they follow me like a mama duck. I almost mushed one of them! But they are cutie pies. |
